Ashes in the fire are many home decorations
The three-story house has been given the appearance of a home furnishing factory. In front of that house in Rajarhat's Langalpota is a warehouse surrounded by a tin canopy. A large quantity of combustible material was stored in the house as well as in the warehouse. Somehow a fire broke out there on Thursday morning. 14 fire engines struggled to bring the situation under control. Panic spread throughout the area. However, there are no reports of casualties.
According to local sources, the artisans used to make beautiful flower bouquets, bells, and many other home decoration items with various designs on them in that factory. The owner of the factory, Binay Dharar, a resident of Bangur used to export it from the countryside of Rajarhat. Mangal Midya, a worker working on the second floor of that house, said that 20 people were working in the factory, but there were six of them at the time of the incident. Around 7 a.m., a worker suddenly noticed that the whole house was filled with smoke. When he saw where the smoke was coming from, he saw that the warehouse in front of the house was on fire. Within moments, the fire spread to the first and second floors of the house. "Let's get down somehow," said Rinku Bhuiya, a worker.
Residents complained that the fire brigade arrived late. According to them, there was a danger of fire spreading to a school and a residential area near the incident site. Without taking any risk, the nursery was declared a holiday at that school. Firefighters were able to ensure that the fire did not spread by noon. After that, the fire extinguishing work started in full swing. Fire DG Jagmohan came to the spot to investigate the situation. According to local sources, the firemen blamed the bad condition of the road from Rajarhat intersection to Langalpota for arriving late.
